Why use the full word when you can shorten it? :-)

Here's a couple more for you

arvo - afternoon
garbo - garbage collector
bottlo - bottle shop (liquor store)
rellies - relatives
pressy - present (as in Chrissy pressies)
telly - televison
Maccas - McDonalds
