Holiday Blessings
I was sitting here, feeling sad about a number of things, when it
occured to me that I've been looking at the world all backwards.
I felt bad that we have to move across town during a snowy, bitterly
cold month. Now I am grateful that we have a warm place to sleep at
night.
I felt bad that we're down to the last few offerings from last month's
food shelf visit. Now I am grateful that I don't have to go to bed
hungry.
I felt bad that my daughter will be getting married in Las Vegas and I
won't be there. Now I'm grateful to have a beautiful daughter who has
found true happiness.
I felt bad that I have the sniffles. Now I'm grateful for the good
health that I generally take for granted.
I felt bad that I'm losing a friend. Now I feel honored that she
chose to call me hers.
I am truly blessed this Christmas.
