Bourdain
I just saw his latest installment of "No Reservations" on the Travel
Channel. A trip to Mexico with the head chef at Les Halles, who
immigrated from Puebla a few years back.
Street food in Mexico City -- tacos al pastor among the comestibles.
A trip to an island in Xochimilco whose last inhabitant was a madman
(in my estimation) tormented by fears of a ghost that drove him to
hang scores, maybe hundreds, of dolls around his house. Deeply
creepy.
A bullfight, juduciously edited. Bull tacos outside the arena.
Mole poblano with the chef's family in Puebla.
I enjoyed it, and really want some of that mole the guy's mother made.
Want it bad.
