I think it's a bit harsh, and maybe a little draconian!!
If that would be the case here, I'd be banned from nearly *every* fruit
and vege store I go into.
Like today. Two cases of cherries sitting there. I sampled 2 from each
case.
The ones on the left were from a different region to the right, and the
left was *way* sweeter.
I also sampled some grapes.
Luckily I did. There were like sour sops!!
If I'd just blindly bought them, and taken them home, I would have had
to ditch them. Too sour.
I only taste small items, I *don't* try anything larger than a
cherry/grape.
The larger items..... apricots, peaches, nectarines etc, you can usually
go by feel and smell.
