oh yeah, pommes frites are wonderful with mayo or that mayo style salad
dressing commonly found. I also loved how simply street food is sold
there, without the excessive overwrapping and bags and trash we inflict
on the environment here in the US. The wurst stands on found on many a
strassenbahn corner often had quite a loyal following. I used to enjoy
one before shopping at my favorite hypermarkt Vertkauf, in Wuerzburg.
I never quite got into currywurst just because I had no desire for
ketchup on my wurst, although loved a plain bratwurst mit senf on a
brotchen.
I used to work with the Bavarian Red Cross and while blood donors would
be getting drained, some big guy would be outside grilling up the brats
to feed the donors afterwards. Beats a lousy OJ and cookie hands down!
