I never much liked hot dogs - cheap sausage, bun, stripes of ketchup
and mustard.

Then, I spent the second half of my life in Chicago. It's hard to get
a bad dog; even the crappiest stands seem to follow the Vienna rules,
from the poppy seed bun to the celery seed on the salad.

Chicago vs. Nathan's - they're both good, just very different.

Now I'm near Detroit. The third half of my life. What Michael
O'Donnel (or maybe I misremebered the name) described as a Coney is
nothing like my experience. The thing with canned chilli, stripe of
red (ketchup?) and the yellow that I couldn't desiide was supposed to
represent mustard or cheese that I've been served at my last forays
into this arena.
