Every kid ought to learn how to prepare a chicken from alive to with
dumplings. It's called unwimpifying (blush, I just made that up). Most
can grow a carrot or pluck an apple, but a kid should have pluck in
other primal food fields. That isn't going to happen in a garden.
Perhaps rendering a coop of chickens and a cow named Molly can further
help the kids into "knowing where it comes from".
