I once made the mistake of planting mint in a garden. I could not keep
it under control. I could go around it with a trowel and dig up all the
soil for a foot or two around, but the damn stuff still kept popping up
yards away. It is worse than a weed .... except that it is useful. I
like mint with lamb, in yogurt sauce, and especially in Mojitos.
