sheldumbs ammonia method does work but it sometimes does take longer.
I trashed a pan in the fall and put it in a sealed bag and tossed it
in the garage. It was in the dead of winter and I forgot about it
until spring. When I found it all the burnt stuff had tuned to flakes
and a light wiping with bar keepers friend make it look brand new.
Just a thought.
