James is basically the same way. He eats plenty of carbs as whole
grains, fruits, and veggies, and the occasional "bad carb" as sugar or
refined flour. He has had normal blood sugar and HgA1C levels for about
five years without medication (he used medication before then). He also
attributes his success to the amount of exercise he gets -- he probably
walks an average of five miles a day.
