You're seeing this advertising because the local TV stations and cable
companies are unable to sell advertising and the result is more national
network advertising spots and fewer local ones. Much of the local
advertising that stations are able to sell is for obvious scams which
stations would never accept advertising for in the past, but do now out
of desperation.

As for Jack-in-the-Box and Sonic, both have some fairly decent items on
the menu, though I generally avoid fast food as much as possible.
