In Hawaii, one used to be invited to a Poi Supper. I think this menu
is a take-off. If you went to a poi supper, you had poi, lau-laus
(noted on the menu), lomi salmon, luau (taro leaves probably cooked in
coconut milk, fresh pineapple, etc. so I would imagine that is what
the Lurline was doing.
