My mother used to buy Minute Rice. When my brother was here he got a
craving for rice and asked if there was any Minute Rice in the house. Uh,
no, but I have real rice It only takes 20 minutes to cook and no special
cooker, either!

I've never been a fan of Guacamole.

Jarred roux? I've never seen it. My mother was very fond of McCormick's
gravy packets and I've also seen jarred and/or canned gravy. Both work in a
pinch if you haven't got the drippings and stuff to make real gravy with.

Frozen Texas Toast, yeppers. Bottled cocktail sauce, absolutely. It's a
key ingredient in my meat loaf recipe which uses Quaker oats as the filler
