I plugged in my zip code (48197) and the closest one is Lansing,
about an hour away.

We've mainly got Kroger here, with a couple
of small regional chains (Busch's and Hiller's), Meijers, and one
each Sav-a-Lot and Aldi (at least, I think the Aldi has opened).
Plus Whole Paycheck, and a couple of similar local markets.

Of course, the serious shoppers go to the People's Food Coop.
