I've had it with real chipped beef, not the cr*p they sell today and
it was delicious. I used to ask for it when I was a kid.... not that
I got it very often.

Oh? Are you asking for human pedigrees now? Want to know my
socioeconomic status as a kid? Let's just say I had steak sandwiches
in my bag lunch so often I hated them and would trade for sandwiches
made with the cheapest tuna.... my mother used albacore - I didn't
like her tuna sandwiches either.

Jarred meat is composed and flattened sh*t. The good chipped beef
came in packages and looked like it was sliced from one piece of meat
instead of meat scraps that were compressed and sliced.
