When I had the Spyder, it had great handling at a time
when all American cars had terrible handling. My previous
car was a 1968 Ford Mustang convertible, and I compared
its handling to a railroad boxcar with a steering wheel.
It was horrible.

Shortly thereafter, you could get that good handling in
most Japanese cars, but Detroit cars were still crap.
Today, all cars handle like sports cars, compared to
30 years ago when only sports cars handled like sports
cars, and everything else was like driving a schoolbus.
