I don't see anything wrong with it, except for your interpretation
of it. It doesn't have to hang from a porch beam.

It keeps tomatoes out of the dirt and there['s no need to stake or
cage them. Sounds like a plan to me. Heck, I'd pound in some fence
posts just to hand these from and save the other aggravations.
