No one can know the answer to that question.
A person lives on in the memory of those that loved them. I think that when
someone dies, that's it, they are no more, the journey is over. By
remembering them, though, and telling their story, and making sure the
story is repeated, they live on. Not physically, but in spirit.
That lasts longer anyway.
