I can't recall ever condemning a recipe for green onions alone, nor
for the use of any other perfectly reasonable ingredient that *I* just
happen not to like. It often happens that slop recipes do include
green onion. It's like air freshener spray. For some folks it covers
up the icky smells/tastes.
