I agree on the appearance-- though if your only association with
Morels was a picture you saw in a book a few years ago, I can see how
someone might think of morels, especially the last link. [and if
their eating mushrooms on those criteria, all the Darwin references
apply]
It must be the name 'False Morel' that makes lots of folks go ahead
and eat them every year. And sometimes they get away with it for
years before it bites them back.
