There is nothing else you can do that you haven't done already... you
certainly do not want to place something into the jar with the sugar that
will attract moisture... it's not like the lid is full of holes for
sprinkling. Just keep the lid screwed down tight, perhaps place a couple
sheets of waxed paper under the lid for a better seal... and peridically
give the sugar a stir with a wooden spoon.
