Depends on the purpose of the toast.

If I'm having it as a snack, then usually salted butter and salt.

Ah, a soul mate... I love toast with salted butter and salt.... thinly
sliced, dark toasted, NY sourdough seeded Jewish rye, lightly buttered,
sprinkled liberally with pinches of kosher salt.... much better than
pretzels. Onion rye the same way is good too.
