I like beets a lot but have never put them in salad. Sometimes I'm
tempted to put them on a burger, which I understand is an Aussie kind
of thing...could be wrong about that, though.

For the pickled beets - if you just use beet juice and vinegar, throw
in some pickling onions and a couple cloves, too.
