Default What exotic fruits do you recommend trying?

I bought some when I lived in Southern California, where they were labeled
as Cape gooseberries. The most interesting thing I found to do with them is
to peel back the husk and then dip them in a molten-sugar mixture to create
a brittle shell. They have to be eaten soon afterward, because humidity will
eventually cause the shell to soften. (Of course, it can't be *too* soon
afterward or you'll burn the hell out of yourself.) If I'd had more of them
I might have made a tart or something similar. I don't think I'd cook them
much beyond what I wrote above.
