Those are only exotic because they grow in the sub-tropics, where we
live. Now the mass of fresh berries many of you get, and to a lesser
degree, fresh apples and peaches etc. are exotic to us. Just the
"grass (exotic) is greener" idea

By the way, there are yummy tamarind trees where the sweetness equals
the tartness, but you have to pick the right tree
