That probably wasn't from the garlic. Garlic is believed to be effective
in *lessening* inflammation, which is what pancreatitis is.

Could be the oil rather than the garlic.

Why not? The garlic is thoroughly cooked.

Eat garlic all the time. Eventually the body adjusts how it metabolises
the sulphur compounds that cause the 'smell'.
