Default Why are farmers markets expensive?

Because most supermarkets are selling mass produced, low nutrition,
aesthetically pleasing veg that may be way old and artificially
preserved to improve shelf and transport life.

Farmers market food tends to be fresher, have more variety, more flavour
and more nutrients.

You get what you pay for.
