There are plenty of mothers who technically qualify as "sane" who would
allow it. Remember the woman who killed her kids by driving her car into a
lake and letting them drown? She wasn't evaluated as insane. You have to
REALLY be messed up in the head to be legally insane. There's a world of
difference between "insane" and "socially unacceptable." For example,
cybercat has no maternal instinct, and would have readily let children stay
with Jackson: cybercat is not insane, just socially unacceptable.
