What does Summer taste like?

Funny you should say that, just last week I bought some fresh apricots
for the first time ever. They were okay but not something I'd be dying
to buy again. I assume they are supposed to be more memorable.
My summer tastes like tomato and cucumber salad, rib eyes on the
grill, corn from the farm stand, bread from the farmers market,
tomatoes and mozzarella, chicken drumsticks with oregano and
olive oil on the grill ... burgers and hot dogs, certainly. Summer
tastes like the living is easy, no big production dinners.
