You did say that, but it was in the subject.
I would suggest cleaning the gas output jets with a wire brush. You
probably have mineral deposits around the holes that let out the
gas/flame.
And as someone else mentioned, make sure you have adequate gas
pressure. usually the gas company will do this for free. While he
(or she) is there then pump him for info about the stove.
