Default 1989 Ch. Puy Blanquet

1989 Ch. Puy Blanquet (St. Emilion) – a modest wine at a modest price
that had hidden in the cellar for some years. A pleasant surprise
when we opened it – a fruit and cedar nose, not terribly notable, but
on palate, decent fruit, no doubt now declining, and sift tannins that
gave interest to the texture, and good terminal acidity that gave a
lively impression. This wine performed above its modest price class,
a very pleasant surprise after all these years.
