How to drink beer.

In an ice cold glass mug, out of a bottle, out of a can?

My brother had a freezer devoted entirely to glass beer mugs. 100 or so.
The "hands off" approach was the way to drink beer, by keeping your hand
off the container the beer stayed cooler longer, rather than it would if
you wrapped your hand around a can.

A can or bottle should be drank a foam holder, again to keep your hand/temp
off the beer.

When out on the town, drink bottled beers. Ever gotten a fresh glass of
beer with lipstick on the rim? I did. And that probably ain't all that gets
passed around! Plastic cups if you want tapped beer.

Cans are OK in a pinch. Bottles are better and will break into a lot more
pieces when you throw it. Shooting beer from a can is the can's only saving
grace. Make a hole in the bottom, with a can opener or something, put it to
your mouth then pop the top. Guzzle as fast as you can. Spillage is
considered bad form.

If you're going to put your mouth to it, always wipe the surface of a can's
top with a tissue or paper towel before opening. You'd be amazed at the rat
turd that can collect there!

The practice of getting hosed, guzzling from a keg hose for as long as
possible, is an acceptable practice.

And finally, from personal experience, never assume the cap on a bottle of
beer is twist-off. Keep a church key on your keychain just in cases.
