Ya gotta lettem get too close with a 12 gauge, even a slug. And I
appreciate my shoulder remaining unbruised and my hearing at its
current lack of depth, thankyouverymuch. My FIL's M1 sounds like a
cannon (even when hearing protection is used) and has plenty of power
without the back-coil; a truly fun gun to fire. His Remington 30-06
semiautomatic is much quieter but you know you've been shooting after
visiting the range.
