None really. Properly deep-fried food doesn't readily spoil and the
turnover is quick. Nice to get a quick portion of 'kroketten' while
waiting for a train.
The automatic restaurants are a bit like an old US automat. Put money
in, take food out. Horn and Hardart's comes to mind. Don't know if there
were any others. Was fortunate enough to eat at one just before it
closed shop. Beautiful polished 'dolphin' brass coffee dispenser, and
the food was on plates.
