Oh I know. But overall sharks mature sexually very late in their lives and
have one breeding cycle. Even without the massive predation by the Chinese
they can not sustain commercial fishing. That's typical for most shark
species. A few are more prolific like leopard and sand sharks.

Good on ya for sparing them.
