A few years ago I took the WTW out of my family room and replaced it with
hardwood and a couple of area rugs. I'm still amazed at how much dust gets
into the room that now can be cleaned, instead of settling on the carpet and
getting gown into it so even a good vacuum is not going to get it all.
Eventually, other rooms of the house will get the same treatment. You need
at least some area rugs in winter though, the wood floors feel colder.
