Default How would I know if ground beef is bad?

I had a shocking tummy bug when I was 15 and missed two of my year 10 final
exams. The last thing I had eaten was my future MIL's savoury mince and I
was convinced it was that - no one else got sick though I wouldn't touch
mince cooked in that manner for years! I was ok with hamburgers and pies etc
but not as a savoury mince.
