What a sad commentary on society that people take delight when someone
shoots someone else, even a lawyer. No wonder our society (American) is so
violent. This sets a terrible example for children.

I saw the story on the news too. It was horrible. Fortunately, the shooter
was apprehended without further incident. The lawyer apparantly got on his
client's shit list as a result of getting him a lessor monetary settlement
in some civil litigation than the guy had hoped for.
