Real mince (made with meat) went away (for common menus) about 50
years or more ago, as near as I can tell. The mince nowadays -
mainly, the best is Crosse & Blackwell in a jar - has no meat in it,
but it's delicious. There isn't any alcohol in it, and my
grandmother's home-canned mincemeat didn't have any, either.
