I am sure. I was about 7 or 8 years old when my older sister (she is
older, and was already married) started making the dip mix for the holiday,
etc. It was rather fashionable in the late 1950's to use a cool item called
"Beau Monde"!! Wasn't that era all about the newness and unique item?
Either way, I still make the recipe exactly as my sister wrote it. We have
always referred to it as "Laurel's finger salad, or dip" I made a fresh
batch about three days ago. We will enjoy it through Christmas.
Hope you have a great Christmas. We are off to Caņon City for the holiday
weekend. We will be on the road by 2PM tomorrow. Will have to shovel the
walks and drives in the morning!! The neighbors are out of town, so I have
two to do.
Later,
