Dang, I was in Bulk Barn today and forgot to check the price on minute
tapioca. I checked their web site and they carry it, but no price
listed. However, they do not carry pearl tapioca. Nor does the grocery
store carry pearl tapioca. I checked the price on the minute stuff....
$3.59. All this talk got me craving tapioca, so I made a batch (minute).
It actually takes about 25 minutes... 25 minutes to soak and 10 to cook.
I took 3 Tablespoons to make a batch with 2-3/4 cups milk. Sure, it is
more expensive than flour, but it is a heck of a lot better, and 50cents
worth of tapioca isn't going to break me. It was more than that for the
milk and egg.
