It is occasionally possible to find it in a grocery store on sale for
less, and that is the mass produced commercial crap that is useally
mostly fat and pumped full of solutions so you are paying bacon prices
for a saline solution. When I used to buy bacon in the grocery store I
had to sort through dozens of packages to find on with a nice
combination of fat and lean. With this guy, every package is acceptable.
It shrinks a little in the frying pan but that is just from the fat
rendering, not from evaporation.
