Of course, but the floor of the oven is actually a little (no more than
an inch if that) lower than the oven door when it's flat. I tried. The
peel had to go in at a bit of an angle and pushing down on the handle of
the peel to lift the business end up a bit to bring it and pizza out of
the oven meant I would have been pushing down on the *hot* oven door and
I didn't want to chance burned knuckles or anything else. This is a
lousy description, I know, but trust that I couldn't get the peel flat
and maneuverable at the same time.
