The interesting thing is that human taste is programmed over millions of
years to react in this way to foods the contain this compound. I use the
kombu-bonito powder to make miso soup. Personally, I wouldn't bother to
make soup stock the old way since the power is pretty tasty. Of course,
the main problem with the soup stock powder is a large amount of salt.
That's the breaks.
