This is true, but OTOH if you have 200 calories of complete
protein in the 2000 random calories you consume, you are at your
daily reference value for protein, and you are not going
to experience outright starvation. You may exhibit vitamin
deficiencies, symptoms of excessive fat or insufficient fiber
but these will develop pretty slowly.
