I wash my bags about once a month. Most of them are cloth from trade
shows and other freebies before this new woven stuff started to be
popular. Some of my bags are permanently stained, but I know they're
clean.

Besides, don't we put most of our produce, meats, and other items into
plastic bags so they are all wrapped up anyhow?

I have a real problem with people who are not immune compromised who
freak out at the thought of germs. They should swab their skin and
culture it. Soon you'll see them in sterile suits.
