As I recall, the ones we had while growing up were fat glass bottles
with a bright red plastic shaker top. I can't say that I remember my
mother ever using it. The directions on the big bag says to use half a
tablespoon on meat and fried rice and even more in other dishes. Those
Asians are totally insane! :-)
