A lot of recipes will have you use oil to a depth higher than that.
However, this is shallow frying... and is one variation on fried
chicken.

Yeah, I started some chicken defrosting here too...so I can see what I
actually do use. Maybe it is more than that. Guess I will find out.
I will be interested to see how yours does.
