i once ran into a pair of cops in the hall of my building when a friend of
mine and i were on the way from my apartment to his, and, i confess, i had
a beer in my hand.
one cop says, 'be careful, or i'll take you in for drunk driving.'
just as quick, i said back to him 'i don't care what you say, i'm not
getting out to walk a straight line for you.'
