I think the hot dog, a refinement on a German brat, is said
to have devloped in the U.S.

Some kinds of true squash, if not pumpkin itself. Defnitely
corn and potatoes, as well as chilis, bison, chocolate,
and the star of the Andes: the guinea pig. Native oysters.
And the common bean, in many of its forms.
